transmediale is a project by Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH (Cultural Projects Berlin). Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH is a federal company which supports and cross-links cultural projects. It originated in October, 2006 out of the merger between the Berliner Kulturveranstaltungs-GmbH (BKV) and the Museumspädagogischer Dienst (MD). Besides the continuation of projects of the BKV and the MD, Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH will assume the production, the coordination and the marketing of interdisciplinary cultural projects. Furthermore it offers administrative, financial, judicial, technical and organisational services for cultural projects. transmediale wishes to thank the Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH for continuous support!

transmediale is supported as a lighthouse of contemporary German culture by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation). The Kulturstiftung des Bundes carries nationwide innovative programmes and projects. It focuses on the cultural exchange and a transbordary collaboration. Thereby it initiates and supports projects in all cultural sectors. The Council of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes decided in December 2003 to grant transmediale substantial base support for the five festivals 2005-2009. transmediale wishes to thank for the support over the years!
